The Tar Heels Volume Two - Release Date - Great News

We have good news to report on the upcoming Volume Two release. We will be sending the book to the printer by late August and expect to have books in hand and available in early November and on time for Christmas 2023. Be on the look out soon for the opportunity to purchase the book in a pre-release phase in early September. 

As with the first volume, the enormous amount of information being covered about Dean Smith, Phog Allen and key players who helped take the program to another level, lead us to the structure the book by decades vs coach tenure. Without this shift, future volumes would have been over 600 pages. Much has been written about Dean Smith, but, we are confident that Ron's broad coverage about Coach Smith's journey prior to joining UNC and unique content from his coaching years will make this another "slam dunk" and "must have" book for all who loved Coach Smith. 

Some of those key players are Billy Cunningham, Larry Brown, Larry Miller, Bob Lewis, Rusty Clark, Dick Grubar, Eddie Fogler and Charlie Scott. Ron has had the opportunity to spend time with Lewis, Cunningham, Bill Bunning and Scott who have contributed great insight and stories for the book. 

Also, the foreword will now be written by UNC grad and Hall of Fame Sports Illustrated sports writer Curry Kirkpatrick.
