Bob Lewis, UNC Legend, Meets Ron Smith, Author of The Tar Heels, A History of UNC Basketball

Ron recently had the opportunity to meet and spend some time with UNC superb Bob Lewis. Bob was a key member of Dean Smith's early teams and helped take the program to the next level.

Bob broke the UNC single-game scoring record on December 16, 1965, when he scored 49 points against Florida State. The record still stands. Ron is standing with the game ball from that game, which will soon be in the UNC basketball museum. Bob is holding the first book: The Tar Heels, A History of UNC Basketball Vol. 1.
Bob also had a chance to read Tar Heels Vol I and loves the book. He offered to help with Vol II, which should be out mid-year 2023.
